Sports Performance: Represented the country in any of the following Championship/Events:-
(a) Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior Category) Asian Championship/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) South Asian Federation Games (Senior Category) USIC
(World Railway) Championships (Senior Category)
(b) At least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category) [OR]
(c) Represented a state or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championship [OR]
(d) At least 3rd position in senior State Championships for all units and District of the State.

Selection Process: The selection procedure for short listed eligible candidates would involve:-
(1) Trials of sports performance.
(2) Interview-assessment of sports achievements, educational qualifications and other criteria for selection.
(3) Original certificates of date of birth, educational qualification, sports achievements may be shown at the time of trial and interview otherwise the candidate will not be allowed to attend the trial procedure.

Application Fee: Each application should be submitted along with the application fee of Rs. 40/- non refundable including postal charges through crossed postal order/demand draft paid at New Delhi in the name of Sports Officer/HQ, Head Quarter Sports Association, N.Rly, New Delhi through postal Dak only. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from application fee.
How To Apply: The Application on the prescribed format (The application should be made either in Hindi or English only) on a good quality plain paper of A-4 size along with two latest passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer. Minimum Sports Achievements required for Foot Ball /Volley Ball ->

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have completed Matriculation or its equivalent from a Government Recognized School.
Examination Fee: UR & OBC candidates must enclose an Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft having issued between 01/06/2014 to 30/06/2014 of Rs. 40/- as processing charges in favour of Workshop Sports Officer, Jagadhri Workshop Payable at Jagadhri Workshop. SC/ST/Muslims/Christians/Sikh/Budhhists/Zorastrians(Parsis) candidates need shall not be required to pay any fee, but certificate belonging to concerned community must be attached for fee exemption, otherwise application will be rejected without fee of Rs. 40/-.
Selection Process: The selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of field trial, assessment of sports achievement, educational qualification and Interview.
How To Apply: Applications must be submitted as per the enclosed proforma and must be filled up and signed by the applicant in his own handwriting. The Application must be accompanied by Three (03) recent colour Passport size photographs, one of which should be pasted at the space provided in the Application Form while the remaining 02 photographs should be staplled with the application. The Photographs should be signed by the candidate and attested by a Gazetted Officer.
Eligible candidates will be issued separate call letters for Trial, Interview etc. showing venue. Applications completed in all respect should reach on or before 30/06/2014 up to 17.00 Hrs. through post in a cover addressed to:- "The Asstt Personnel Officer (W), Northern Railway, Carriage & Wagon Shops, Jagadhri Workshop, Distt. Yamuna Nagar, (Haryana) - 135002." The envelope should be super scribed: "RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA", with the name of the event.
