Eligible Criteria for WB Jail Police Warder Post

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 18 years to 27 years as on 01-01-2015. The Upper age limit may be relaxation for the SC/ST candidates of West Bengal only and OBC candidates of West Bengal only by 03 years. The upper age limit is also relaxable for the Ex-Serviceman as per existing Govt. Rules.
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from any recognized by the State Government or the Central Government and Candidates must have able to proficiency in Computer Application.
Physical Standard for Male Candidates:-
1. Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbanshis and ST:
Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)- 160 cm.
Chest (in cm.)- 76 cms. with expansion of 05 cm (76 cms. – 81 cms.)
2. All others categories:
Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)- 167 cm.
Chest (in cm.)- 78 cms. with expansion of 05 cm (78 cms. – 83 cms.)
Physical Standard for Female Candidates:-
1. Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbanshis and ST:
Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)- 152 cm.
2. All others categories:
Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)- 160 cm.
Selection Process: Candidates provisionally considered eligible will be called for Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) which are qualifying in nature, before the Special Recruitment Boards. Candidates who qualify in PMT and PET will have to appear in the Written Examination followed by the Interview.
A. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- The Height Weight of the candidates will be measured by using Electronic Machines.
B. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- Candidates who will qualify in PMT will be allowed to take part in PET
a. For Warder- Long Distance Run- 1600 mtr. (Qualifying time is 06 minutes 30 seconds).
b. For Female Warder- Long Distance Run – 400 mtr. (Qualifying time is 02 minute)
C. Written Examination (Full Marks-90):- A limited number of candidates on the basis of the qualifying the PMT and PET test will be called for to appear in the Written Examination to be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
The Written Exam will have 60 Multiple Choice(Four Choices) Objective Type Question (MCQs) carrying 1.5 marks each. The duration of the examination will be One hour. Question in the Written Examination shall be in the following subjects:-
1. General Awareness and General Knowledge- 30 Marks (20 Questions)
2. English- 24 Marks (16 Questions)
3. Elementary Mathematics (10th Standard)- 15 Marks (10 Questions)
4. Reasoning- 12 Marks (8 Questions)
5. Computer Literacy- 9 Marks (6 Questions)
D. Interview (Full Marks 10)
Application Fees: All categories of candidates except those belonging to SC/ST (of West Bengal only) shall pay Application Fees of Rs.200/-.Payment of Application Fees can be made online through payment gateway (Bill Desk) by using Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Net-Banking of any Bank those candidates who apply Online. For Offline Application candidates may payment through Department of POst (DOP). Candidates may deposit Applications Fees in favour of “West Bengal Police Recruitment Board” in any of the post offices having e-payment facility.

How To Apply for WB Police 760 Werder Recruitment 2015

West Bengal Police Recruitment Board extends the facilities of both the on-line and off-line submission of applications.
OFF-LINE SUBMISSION:-
  • The off-line application form must be downloaded using the website http://policewb.gov.in. Before downloading application Form the applicant has to fill up the following mandatory fields to download the off-line Application Form:-
    Name in Full-
    Father’s/Husband’s Name-
    Category- etc…
  • After filling up the mandatory fields, the applicants has to Click on “Save and Download” button. During downloading of each Application Form, a unique Application Serial Number with bar code will appear in the form. No form with out the Application Serial No. and Bar Code shall accepted by the Board.
  • Payment through Department of Post (DOP).
  • The filled up application form may be sent only post addressed to The Chairman, West Bengal Police Recruitment Board, Araksha Bhaban, 5th Floor, Block-DJ, Sector-II, Salt Lake City, Kolkata- 700 091 superscribing on the envelop NAME OF THE RECRUITMENT, NAME OF THE POST applied for and APPLICATION SL. NO. The same should reach this office positively within 27-03-2015 (up to 5:00 P.M.).
ONLINE SUBMISSION:-
  • Candidates can submit application using the http://policewb.gov.in by filling up their information including scanned photograph and signature.
  • Once these information are filled up, the online users will be given a reference number through which they will be able to re-access his/her unprocessed application and the information entered at each stage in saved. He/she has to write down the reference number within 15 seconds. He/she can then his/her Date of Birth as Password. The reference number will also be delivered to the applicant via E-mail ID/Mobile no.
  • The size of Photo and Signature must be between 20-45 KB and 3-15 KB & JPG Format. The Image Dimension for Photograph and Signature should be 138 px width X 177 px height and 250 px width X 45 px height.
  • On successful submission of the application, the applicants shall be provided with auto generated receipt with unique Application Serial No. Candidates are advised to preserve it safely and mention the Application SL. No. for all future communications, if required, with the west Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
