Pattern & Syllabus of RBI Grade-B Exam-2014
Our valuable reader as we all know that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently launched an official notification in which they announced that they are going to recruit for 117 posts of Grade-B officers.

On the request of our valuable reader in this post we are going to share the complete Syllabus and Pattern of the Exam.
Process for Selection: The one who had applied for this RBI Officer Recruitment process will selected through the Examinations and Interview round.
The Written Exam by RBI will be held in two Tier:
1. Tier-I Exam: On Line Exam (Objective Type).
2. Tier-II Exam: Written Examination (Descriptive type).
The Syllabus of the Tier – I Exam (Objective Test)
1). Tier-I Exam: The Tier-1 is an On Line Test which is Objective Type.
Number of Questions in the Exam- 200
Number of Questions in the Exam- 200
Total Number of Marks - 200
Time: 130 Min.
The Objective Paper consist of the following topics:
1). General Awareness– In general Awareness the question will be asked from the following topics: Banking Knowledge, Economics, Financial Awareness and Latest Current Affairs.
2). English Language – In this section the questions will be asked from the following ways: Reading Comprehension, Jumbled Sentences, Fill in the Blanks, Error Spotting, Cloze Test.
3). Quantitative Aptitude – This section contains various mathematics problem and the major questions are asked from: Arithmetic + Data Interpretation(DI).
4). Reasoning (Verbal)- Syllogism, Data Sufficiency, Miscellaneous, Seating Arrangement/ Puzzle Test, Input Output, Logical Reasoning.
Note: This Syllabus we are explained is According to RBI 2013 Exam Pattern
2). Tier-II Exam: This Exam will be a Written Examination which is total Descriptive Type. This exam will be conducted in the month of September/ October 2014 (tentative) only for those who get selected in the First Tier exam.
‘The Tier-2 Exam will consist of three Descriptive Type papers and contains following topics:–

The Syllabus for Tier –II Exam is as follow:
(i) Paper I –The paper (1) contains the questions from English language from the following topics:
–Essay

–Comprehension and
–Business/Office Correspondence.
(II) Paper II – This paper is Consist of the questions from Economic and Social Issues.
(III) Paper III – This paper contains the questions from Finance topic.

– Non-tax Sources of Revenue; Outlays;
– New Measures; Financial Sector Reforms;
– Capital Market, Money Market and Foreign Exchange Market,
– Stock Exchanges and their Regulation;
– Capital Market Intermediaries and their Regulation;
– Role of SEBI; Functions of the Money Market;
– Growth and Operation of the Money Market;
– The Foreign Exchange Market;
– From FERA to FEMA; Exchange Rate Management;
– Exchange Risk Management,
– Role of Banks and Financial Institutions in Economic Development;
– Regulation of Banks and Financial Institutions;
– Disinvestment in Public Sector Units.Important Dates
02/03/09/10 August 2014 is the Date of Written Exam.
