Combined Defence Service (CDS) Exam 2014
UPSC
has launched a notification for conducting “Combined Defence Services
Examination 2014 (CDS-2014) including SSC (Women Non-Technical) Course 2014. Union
Public Service Commission is going to conduct the “CDS Exam 2014” on 26th
October, 2014. Those who crack this CDS Exam will get the admission in Indian
Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air force Academy and Officers Training
Academy, Chennai. The vacancies under various Academy is as follow:
1). Indian Military
Academy, Dehradun | Vacancies: 200 posts
2). Indian Naval Academy,
Ezhimala | Vacancies: 45 posts
3). Air Force Academy,
Hyderabad | Vacancies: 32 posts
4). Officers Training
Academy , Chennai (Men) | Vacancies: 175 posts
5). Officers Training
Academy, Chennai (Women) Vacancies: 12
posts
Total Vacancies: 350+ Posts.
Age Bond:
Indian Military
Academy: Those
Male applicants who are unmarried and who born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991
and not later than 1st July 1996 only are eligible.
Naval Academy: All unmarried male
candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 and not later than 1st July
1997.
Air Force
Academy: Unmarried
male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st
July 1996 only are eligible.
For Officers'
Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men): Unmarried or Married Male candidates born not
earlier than 2nd July, 1990 and not later than 1st July 1996 only are eligible.
For Officers
Training Academy - SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course: The unmarried
female candidates who have been not born earlier than 2nd July, 1990 and not
later than 1st July, 1996.
Education:
Indian Military Academy
and Officers' Training Academy: Any Graduation Degree of a well-known university
of India or equivalent.
For Naval Academy: Should have graduation
degree in B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) (or) Bachelor of Engineering
degree are eligible for applying this.
For Air Force Academy: A Graduation Degree from
a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics subject should be at 10+2
level) (or) Bachelor of Engineering are eligible for
this academy.
Fee for Applying: All applicants have to Pay Rs.200 in the SBI bank by cash or by using net banking. While Female/SC/ST candidates need not to pay any fee.
