CANDIDATE PROFILE:
  • Candidates should possess An Associate of Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or other related technical fields; or equivalent experience is required. 
  • Course work in the education field, or related work experience developing instructional materials is preferred.
  • Prior field service or technical writing experience is required. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Good interpersonal communication and interviewing skills. 
  • Good technical understanding of NetApp hardware and software products. 
  • Basic understanding of related technologies. 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Proficient in at least one graphics program. 
  • Follow standard development processes and NetApp U procedures. 
  • Follow the corporate style guide, Technical Publishing Guide, Chicago Manual of Style and department format guidelines. 
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Develop technical part replacement documentation for new and current products or update existing documents or learning objects and present for review. 
  • Manage incoming tickets on reports of technical issues on action plans or training. 
  • Work collaboratively with others and in a team environment 
  • Develop or enhance technical content as required to maintain product accuracy, to cover product anomalies and exceptions. Initiate and engage in technical reviews. 
  • Build and Maintain technical proficiency on NetApp hardware products. 
  • Design or create new training strategies that meet the changing service engineer requirements. 
  • Work as part of a team on larger projects, or complex deliverables
