Required Skills (Must Have) and Industry Experience:

• Good academic record (minimum 60% in qualifying exam)
• 0 to 1 year experience in Java / Perl

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of Java is highly desirable
• Knowledge of scripting language (Perl and/or Shell) on Unix is highly desirable

• Development activities:
• Learn new technological skills on the job.
• Understand requirements, project domain, development processes and time estimates for projects.
• Develop good quality code.
• Understand software architecture and technical designs.
• Understand and execute detailed test plans (unit testing and functional  testing).
• Learn to use relevant tools and applications used by project teams
• Production Support & Maintenance activities:
• Assist team in responding effectively to support issues and follow up till resolution
• Assist team in troubleshooting and provide quick resolution to production problems
