Pay Scale:
1. ASI (Steno)- Rs.5200-20200/- with G.P. Rs.2800/- (PB-1)
2. HC(Min)- Rs.5200-20200/- with G.P. Rs.2400/- (PB-1)

Eligible Criteria for 136 ASI(Steno) and HC(Min) BSF Reruitment
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
Shorthand Speed for BSF ASI (steno): Shorthand @ 80 W.P.M in English OR in Hindi for 10 minutes. Transcription of dictation in English in 50 minutes on computer OR transcription of dictation in Hindi in 65 minutes on computer.
Typing Speed for HC(min): Typing @ 35 words per minute in English
OR @ 30 words per minute in Hindi corresponding to 10500 KDPH in
English/9000 KDPH in Hindi with average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer. Time-10 minutes.
Physical Standard for BSF ASI (Steno) & HC (min) Posts:
1. Height:
For Male: 165 cms.
For Female: 155 cms.
OR @ 30 words per minute in Hindi corresponding to 10500 KDPH in
English/9000 KDPH in Hindi with average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer. Time-10 minutes.
Physical Standard for BSF ASI (Steno) & HC (min) Posts:
1. Height:
For Male: 165 cms.
For Female: 155 cms.
** Relaxation for Reserved categories candidates, Please read offical notification for more details.
Chest: Unexpanded- 77 cms. & Expanded- 82 Cms.
Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 18 years to 25 years as on 01-08-2015. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for the candidates belonging to the Reserved Catagories.
Application Fee: Each application should be accompanied by a crossed Bank / Postal Order for Rs.50/- as examination fee in favour of authority to whom the application is addressed, payable at respective SBI/Post office at the location. However, the SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen and Departmental (BSF) candidates are not required to submit examination fee. Women candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees.
Selection Process for BSF ASI(Steno) and HC(min) Posts: The selection shall be held in two phases as under-
a) First Phase: Written Examination.
b) Second Phase:
1. Physical Measurement (PST)
2. Shorthand Speed Test (Only for ASI/Steno)
3. Typing Speed Test (Only for HC/Min)
4. Document Verification

Eligible Interested candidates may download the application Forms from BSF official website http://bsf.nic.in. The filled in application form along with supporting documents should be sent along with the application form so as to reach at the above mentioned centers on or before 03-08-2015. Last date for receipt of application in respect of candidates belonging to far flung areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and North Eastern States is 17-08-2015.
